From a friend.....the value of Peace!
We have an outer and inner life-our outer life is the reputation we build with people and our inner life is the reputation we build with God.
Only God changes the heart of man and another person’s differences joins up with yours to make you whole (e.g. husband and wife)
Losing your peace and joy is a choice-Let me explain “behind closed doors you rant and rave but what is your immediate reaction should your Pastor knock on your door? Immediately you step forward with the biggest smile and greeting!” If you could choose to be so sweet in front of your Pastor why is it then so difficult to be so sweet with your family?
Oh but impressing the Pastor is so important – Is your family not?
It is responsibility to ensure that peace does not leave our side! So I ask – Are you in control? Or do your emotions control you?
We must pursue to have a quiet spirit. It is only then that we will hear the voice and the spoken word from within! 1 Peter 3:11 instructs us to seek, search, pursue peace. It is only from an inner peace that you will voice and share the gospel of peace as per shod on your feet. Remember it is what is inside that truly comes out! (Eph 6:15; Luk 6:45)
Peace should be the normal atmosphere that we dwell in because that is the makeup of heaven. Seed sown in a heart of peace produces a harvest that is good but a seed sown in a discontent heart produces a harvest as such! James 3:18
So ask yourself this – What is the devil using that triggers me to lose my peace? Because the devil sets you up to get upset! What must I do to find peace?
God made me realize that there are people dying spiritually while I am throwing a tantrum. Let not that be the same mistake you make! It is not always the end of the world when things do not work out the way you expect! Allow this message to encourage you in whatever area you battle with.
