UNANSWERED PRAYER….a place to learn, not to park
Here’s the thing….many Christians need the WORD of GOD to set them free from the GUILT, SHAME and CONDEMNATION regarding that “Unanswered Prayer” they once prayed.
(Joh 8:32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.)
Fact is, we have all been there at one time or another. We prayed, be hoped, believed…even fasted yet for some reason – we had to ask GOD “where are You, are You not hearing me??” But we know God hears, we know that the fault is not with Him so we start soul searching… or we just turn away and stop praying or even believing altogether.
Truth is, the devil loves to pull the wool over our eyes – we my not have our prayer answered, but since when has that been a reason to open ourselves to GUILT, SHAME and CONDEMNATION?? To loose our confidence before GOD.
Heb 4:16 Therefore let us come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Heb 10:35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great recompense of reward.
Even King David, the “Man after Gods own heart” once had to deal with this….Yes, David!! Go read the account in 2 Sam 12.
What I like about the account is the way this ‘man after Gods own heart’ responded. Vers 20…when he knew without doubt that his prayer was not answered, he got up (from his fasting) washed, worshiped and ate.
Unanswerd prayer is a place to learn from, NOT to park!
Let me know about the lessons you learned for you unanswered prayers.
God Bless you.

That’s what we too need to do: Get up, wash, worship and eat…..
1. GET UP: Acknowledge that our prayer was not answered – face the facts and
choose to MOVE ON.
2. WASH: Wash ourselves from the negative effects that such and experience would want to place upon us (GUILT, SHAME and CONDEMNATION)
3. WORSHIP GOD: Restore our relationship with God, our trust in Him and our
love for our Lord.
4. EAT: Make sure our bodies nourished, take a relaxing walk, or do something that makes you “breathe”…
